If youre looking for ideas of where to take the family this summer, then look no further than Asda's guide to the very best free events happening across the country. With so much choice youre bound to find something to keep the kids happy this summer.
Here are a few
ideas:
1
Baltic centre for contemporary art,
Gateshead Quays, South Shore Road, Gateshead
With an ever-changing calendar of exhibitions and activities, Baltic Centre is the biggest gallery of contemporary art in the world.
2
National Museum of Scotland,
Chamber Street, Edinburgh
Packed full of exciting interactive exhibits, from robots to
F1 racing cars.
3
National Football Museum,
Sir Tom Finney Way, Preston
Travel back in time with the old style kits or even add
your own Match Of The Day commentary.
4
Spitalfields City Farm,
Buxton Street, London
Get up close and personal with the guinea pigs, rabbits,
goats and pigs down on the farm.
5
The Big Cheese (25-27 July),
Caerphilly Castle, South Wales
Music, dance and fireworks, not to mention the Great
Cheese Race!
And thats just for starters; weve got plenty more
ideas for your summer break.

Nothing on for the kids at The Baltic.

Don't know why they included it in the list.

Might get my 2 hyper on Coke and fizz bombs (if they still make them) and take them round the arty exhibitions!
