Use attached voucher to get this price. Information on empire direct is scant though, so including link below to sony sites where its £799. Posting this as much for the innovative 16.4 inch screen size as the deal. Should cause some discussion if nothing else !

You can get this for same price all over and cheaper in some places. With Sony you pay for the name in a lot of ways. Dell are lot better i think and reviews say the same.

You also need to sort out the direct sony link as well.

Dell has a good rep but I think sony vaio's do too. if you have a link to somewhere cheaper why not post it ? I couldn't see it cheaper elsewhere. 55 cheaper than sony style and 80 cheaper than amazon.

If you compare this to a dell xps1530 and take into account the bigger screen size and resolution I think it compares at least as well price-wise.

Don't forget 2% Quidco too - works out to £12-13 I think.

Sony make reasonably good laptops, but sometimes let down by poor support through a third-party.
