Ok so any idea why my ds lite case thread was removed
it was £19.99 down to £4.99 at argos and i check over a month back and couldnt find it posted, thats the one im more annoyed at, i think i posted it fairly stating that i new 19.99 was OTT price but since skins are 4.99 getting flip case as well made the deal hot

ahhhhhhh ok just thought 4 weeks / 1month was far enough to go back and that was lot with argos. However what is guidelines for posting a deal again. As like with the bargain shops like home bargains things go in and out of stock fast. And with so many new members a month is long time as i remember when i joined june 2nd i think ppl were posting stuff that then got expired but of course i hadnt seen it.
Surely there must be a time limit when its ok to re-post a deal

Just answered my next question man you good juliet.
I know from a previous duplicate most most members agreed that if a post is duplicate over a month or later it should stand as a month or more is long time. I genuinely thought was new price reduction but as i only bought a ds recently i obviously didnt notice amibess thread b4 as i do have a resonably good memory

Yes starting a new thread for some items that were posted over a month ago is okay, as it notifies new members who would have obviously missed a lot of older posts.

There might be a point where a thread contains extra information that would give it good reason not to be duplicated though.

Also, if a thread has not yet been voted onto the home page of HUKD (i.e. it has not hit 60 degrees or more) then it is better to vote it hot than re-post. This is because it will end up on the HUKD homepage when you get it past this voting threshold, no matter how old the thread is.

Personally, I always do a search and bump the newest thread with the same price, if there is one or more. I wouldn't try and take all the glory with a new thread.

if a thread has been expired and you then another person whom hadn't seen the expired thread posts the new one (which is the same item / deal / promotion etc) what happens then?

As some members do check back in the history but can't always find the same item, which I did the other day with some hair straightners, however i didn't read the title i expected the picture to be there... so, when the first post has been deleted but then comes back in stock where do we stand? As i also commented on the recent dawsons creek thread that i didn't want to post it as i don't believe it should have been done considering it's a duplicate, plus we didn't know for sure that the product was in stock... etc etc...

Gosh I'm rambling... again...
