polly69:
your a plumb the score is calculated on the lowest scoring device in your pc so if you have a £20graphics card that scores 2 2 will be your score no matter what the rest of your spec is and if you understood before blabbering out **** he ment the ram
i have some 667 of this in one of my media pc's and im running it at 800mhz at 5-5-5-15 with just 2volts i could maybe tighten those timmings up but still a good overclock. This is great ram and anyone who's had issues with compatibility will know what i mean this is the ram that always works my media pc with a new asus intel g35 motherboard turned its nose up at my geil 800 i kept getting memory errors so was forced to put in the 667 corsair i was disappointed losing performance but they OC'ed to 800mhz with loser timmings so i now wont bother buying some 1066mhz because the corsairs fine.
Shonk:
4.8 in vista?
your pc must be junk
my 3.4gig p4 with ddr 1 scores 4.9
Stop arguing about pointless rubbish
The Vista scores are only a VERY VERY approximate indication of performance and should be taken with a bag of salt.
Unless you overclock you're really not going to see much difference at all in the performance between say 533mhz RAM and 1066mhz RAM for most C2D processors released before the start of this year. I get 5.9 in Vista for my RAM (2x1gb sticks of 1066mhz DDR2) but I could just as well use some 667mhz RAM and be getting the same results. There was a site who did a whole load of benchmarks which showed that for C2D processors buying fancy fast RAM is pointless unless you overclock. It escapes me though. Like I said the Vista "benchmarks" are veeeeery approximate so I wouldn't really pay much attention to them.
