SD card Reader/Writer 75p @ Asda - does SDHC too!

£0.75

380°

FOUND BY: mminghella 1 year, 3 months ago

I was in asda and just picked up a reader/writer that does standard SD and SDHC cards for only 75p.

This beats the one I got from Poundland as it writes to the card too - most other cheapos seem to be readers only.

Seems like decent build quality and quite handy for putting in a bag for holidays.

Cheapest online is £2.99 plus £5.49 delivery!

I've never come across a card reader that doesn't write. Or have I missed something?

My old one definitely doesn't write, which used to be really annoying when I wanted to clear room on it.

Mine doesn't write and it is because when you push the card in it also slides the lock tab forward !

Had the same issue. Cost me less than 1p of tape to fix it

This is a great price, voted hot. But my nearest asda is miles away.

Does the Poundland one do SDHC?

I too have a poundland card reader that doesn't seem to let me write to it, it just says it appears to be write protected, I've checked the little tab and it's not!

Wonder if theres an issue with the poundland SD Card Readers?

Nope, it reads & writes fine in the camera and in my lovely new Asda one, but not in the Poundland one.

On closer inspection, I think that the Poundland one does have a tab that flicks the write protect tab down - how annoying!

I've had a cheap one that didn't write once. It did clearly say on the box 'SD card Reader' but I assumed it would write as well, apparently not, lol.

Nice find here though.
