I think they will take £12.99 by DD, as that is what it says on the form:
Magazine: Computeractive Subscription Term: 6 Monthly Direct Debit @ £12.99 + FREE back issue CD Rom, 1st 3 Issues @ £0.03
Am I correct?

I thought they'd take it out straight away too, but when I did it yesterday and filled in the direct debit it said "Amount to be debited: £0.03".

So all you need to do is pay via Direct Debit. Then, as soon as they have taken the 3p you need to cancel the Direct Debit (which can be done online) and then as soon as you receive your 3rd free issue send them a letter saying that you don't want any more and have cancelled the direct debit.
