TOSHIBA GSC-K40HE HDD High Def 720p Camcorder £239 + Quidco

£239.00

195°

FOUND BY: slate 1 year, 3 months ago

This is anything from £300 - £450 elsewhere (£444 at pcwb).

10x optical zoom
40gb hdd
sdhc card slot
3" touch lcd screen
quick start (0.9secs)

I've attached a voucher for camcorders, but i couldnt get it to work.

This is the 40gb version of the 80gb one which was posted here a few weeks ago (went to 299 degrees)

You'll have problems finding reviews of these on the net, but there are only minor differences bewteen the whole toshiba range of camcorders

oh and dont forget quidco!

Spec suggests its for stills and video, could be useful with the 32gb cards (although they are expansive at the moment).

What I'd like to know is how long it can record for at highest definition with the 40gb hard drive?

Its OK just worked out they've got their figures round the wrong way looks like 5hrs 40mins at highest settings and about 9.5hrs on lowest.

Just a warning - try & find the spec for startup time!

i have a Hard Disk camcorder (a JVC Everio) - it takes 15 seconds to start up - this is an eternity when wanting the camera to capture those priceless moments your kids have.

Unless the OP has edited the first post it says quick start (0.9 sec).

Jerec would love to know if you could give some feedback on the 80GB version assuming it is almost identical. Is the quick start feature effective? Very interested in this product but looking for the right HD HDD camcorder bargain.
