Seems someone is franchising, first Ikea and now Asda, Asda is 1p cheaper on both calls and texts. Will have to use up my £10 on Ikea and move over to Asda with my awesome number

Asda mobile has been around for a couple of years they are in partnership with Vodaphone.

The sims are free instore from Asda when you top up £10

You also get 10% extra when you topup instore or over the phone

Where have you got the pricing info for the new tarrif ?

Vodaphone have just put up prices to PAYG so cant see Asda reducing them ?

Current prices are @
http://www.asda-phones.co.uk/StaticO...ers1.aspx#tabs

16p per minute for the first 3 minutes each day then 8p
and
10p per text for the first 3 texts each day then 5p

Would take a radical change, as you say, just as Vodaphone are putting prices up!

Let's hope it is right, will reserve my vote!

Was in an Asda store last night, and heard this over the tannoy system, so it's definately happening! They were boasting about being the cheapest PAYG out there...

if this is correct it is a great deal and definetly good enough for me to leave my mobile phone contract and go back to pay as you go.

Yes, I phoned them up to ask them this when I joined earlier this year. It's the same rate for 0870/0845 etc, which is pretty good as it's not much more than calling those numbers on a landline.
I really like them, reception is very good everywhere I've used my phone.
Don't forget the 10% extra tarriff when you top up by credit card or instore ends at the end of August, so don't forget to top up this coming week!

It's true!

For me it was the best PAYG deal to start with, it'll be an absolute bargain from September onwards. HOT!!

Well, as it was in the Times, guess you'll be adding heat and rep - and changing your paper.

Yes i am as ive been with Asda for quite a while now and not heard anyything about the price changes

On the face of its not that much of a saving, they are just getting rid of the 16p and 10p starting rates
