the Acer A110 had been reduced to this price last week but was meant to end yesterday so it seems that they have decided to extend it. It is still a good deal though there are lots of netbooks that should be coming on to the market soon, so it could make it quite a competative.

Also available at the other DSG outlets for the same price. I got mine from PC World using Quidco and the 5% discount posted elsewhere on this site.

I am very pleased with mine, especially as I only paid around £185 delivered.

we saw this last week, we are tempted to get it for our son for a first laptop it said on the leaflet we got you could upgrade to have it with windows and 80gb instead of the 8gb for £50 extra but in the pic the upgraded 1 was silver but we liked the navy, if anyone knows if the upgraded comes in Navy please let us know.

Yes, you can actually get it in blue with windows on it. It's 120GB though, instead of 80GB (it's the Advent 4211 that comes in 80GB guise).

A great little laptop, let down only by its small battery. Its connectivity is fantastic in that you have 2 x SD card slots + 1 x Sim card slot for 3G surfing, saving you from carrying around a bulky 3G dongle everywhere.

Unless they have changed something the 3G slot doesn't work as they are bringing out the 3g version later on along with a bigger battery.

I'm afraid I just couldn't live with that glossy screen. If it weren't for that I'd have bought one, and tried to get hold of an additional battery.

As it is, I can either put up with a tiny battery and a hard disk (I want mine to stand up to some jostling) and get the advent/msi one, or put up with a below par keyboard on the eee 901. If I'm *really* lucky, the eee 1000 might appear at a bit of a discount, which would be tempting.
