Just been to Tesco on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield - I bought a couple of bottles of Theakstons XB which is a pretty nice ale imho and they charged me 85p per bottle when the label said £1.48 (i think).

I didn't go back to get more even tho I noticed in the store as I was in a rush. But I might do later :-)

I have no clue if its nationwide mistake or if its online but there you go, cheap nice ale

edit: I couldn't find it online but some1 a few posts down did. I was sure it said £1.48 at the store and was charged wrong - might of been pending offer anyway - just edited the title to reflect this and added online vouchers.

Don't Tescos have a policy that if the price is advertised wrong they give you the product free. I have done it before when the price is in my favour (ie sausages were advertised at £1.50 but went through till at £2 - got my £2 back).

Will this work this way as well?

Not a clue. First time I have been to Tesco (offline) for about a year - I was just given some vouchers for free food so I went there.

Thing is they'll fix the price and then people lose out if you tell them of their misake.

Two reasons why this will not work.

First, and rather obviously, they do not compensate you for a mistake in your favour.

Secondly, Tesco now refund double the difference. They stopped doing the full refund last year.

By all accounts, Tesco did used to compensate you for a mistake in your favour with a full refund. However, they stopped doing this a few years ago.

Mostly because people took the p and got full refunds on 2 or 3 xboxes at a time. No wonder they withdrew the deal!

Great Ale though, one of my favs

Showing as 85p online for me so I doubt this is a misprice, just a great offer if your store sells it.
