Saw it instore and picked one up, we'd looked at it for £50 as a cheap table and chairs for the kitchen, at £30 couldn't resist!

Its not bad IMO, the seats are surprisingly comfortable, and the table seems quite sturdy. The table top seems of decent quality and it looks quite smart. I have to say it looks better in the flesh than the photo, and for £30 it fulfils its purpose!

I have some flats I rent out,

It is a waste of time putting in Ikea furniture, as it just cannot take the treatment from people who are not living with their own furniture.

on the cheap end you're right but pay for proper ikea mid-range/high-range furniture and it's worth many many many many more times than what you pay for it.

Agree with you on the lower end though.

Store Sales Managers manage their own offers of the week - what is available in one store may not necessarily be available in all.

That said, if you query the price instore, the sales staff will usually contact the Call Centre and, if confirmed that it is that price in another store, will usually get the Duty Manager to give it to you for that price.

Off topic but do you know how I might obtain a discontinued item ffrom ikea?
It's a chair cover in a certain colour and was available until 2 months ago.
I've phoned up their cust services, tried ebay ,everything but with no luck.
