Help me buy some I.C.E.

Ok long story short i have just swapped my lemon of a car for a 52 plate Ford Fiesta. I am completely skint and want to play mp3s, but the factory stereo obviously doesn't. I have kept my old Sony Bluetooth single Din player from the old car, looking at changing the factory stereo doesn't look easy (read 2nd post)!

I'm saving up til i can get a proper stereo fitted, in the meantime has anyone had experience with those cigerette lighter fm transmitters with sd card readers? If so what are your experiences?

You sure thats the correct guide? you say yours is a 52 plate yet the guide is for 2005 models onwards

Cant comment on the one you are looking at but ive got this one to connect to my laptop so I can play my music on the stereo and the range is great I can have the laptop in one room and the stereo in any others, even a portable radio in the garden, next door can tune into it too so maybe that hooked to a cheapo mp3 player?

I forgot to say the year quoted in the guide is wrong, mine is defo that dash, there was some of the mark 5 going the same time as the mark 6.

I've asked ebay sellers about adding gps, but just told to get a gps box with video output? Can't really find them and how would i use the touchscreen to control it?

sounds like they talkin out their asses, typical ebay box shifters, it either runs gps or it doesnt, i can understand the need to add a receiver or aerial but it really shouldn't have gps on the ads if it cant do owt but display a picture.
Also most of those will have analogue tv tuners, getting switched off soon so look into digital units

They do sell digital tuners as well, fairly big looking things as well, defo won't fit behind double din unit, may have to wire to boot? Anyway not too interested in that, just which looks good and has satnav.
