Lol. So? Its only really relevant if you game above 1280*1024 which a lot of people don't.

Also, note that you get free delivery if you are an ocuk forum member with more than 250 posts.

Have you any idea what you are chatting about? Its not the memory its the memory speed and clock speed of the card most relevant. Most games today cant harvest all that memory anyway.

The shipping will set you back about £7 and its overclockers.

I have a better buy than that a refurb XFX 8800gts £49.99 and a £5 P+P and they throw in a couple of games and this is from the offical XFX site they are available from the 15th to the 22nd september and come with a full 12month warranty.

I love people who just search the web to pick out single benchmarks to prove themselves right.

That review is the only one which shows this card in a bad light. Even then its mixed clearly suggesting driver issues at the time. Remember that this was one of the first reviews out. The anandtech review using the the 169.12 drivers sees much better results. I'm sure you are a knowledgable person and knew this and still decided to omit? or are you just regurgitating what you've been told by someone else? Something which I see a lot of on here on this site.

Lets show a few others

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3175 - specifically this page http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3175&p=6 where its only slightly worse than a hd3870 which costs a fair bit more atm.
http://en.expreview.com/2007/11/29/r...-8800gt-256mb/

To vote this cold because its 256mb is stupid. I'd love to see endless waves to find a better performing card at this price.

Nvidea GT and GS graphics cards are currently deffective and can cause burnout to itself and the processor so be warned, stay well clear of these and opt for the reliable ATI Radeon

Actually not all 256MB cards scale the same. From what I recall the 8X00 series of cards from Nvidia suffer far worse from the reduced memory than the ATI cards do.
So be careful on this one.

Nice to see a link this time.

http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...g94-reportedly

Heres the original article. Charlie at the inquirer isn't taken seriously. As you can read, he presents next to no evidence that g92/94/96 cards are faulty. Of course it could be true, but this is one guys speculation.

Go on respectable tech forums and this guy is mocked because so many of his articles are anti nvidia. Most of his articles are terribly innacurate. The inquirer was the site which claimed amd phenom processors would annihilate intel's offerings.
