Olympus are closing down for good. When the JJB signs come down 6 months ago at the two branches I visit they had a sale to get rid of all the stock, so everything was reduced, I've visited the two stores today and both of them are closing down for good so now there's 50% off the price. Picked up Reebok classics kids size 13 for £7.00, Reebok classics size 5 for £8.50 (the Reebok are also the illuminate ones so they flash when they hit the floor) and Nike football boots size 13 for £7.50. They had loads left, stacks of adult football boots Nike F90's for £25 with studs. The stores I visited were Pallasades Birmingham and Perry Barr Birmingham. They also have all their sports wear in the sale, Nike hoody's in all sizes £11.00.

um, you appear to be linking to Olympus cameras but from the JJB reference I think you might mean the chavvy sports shop instead. You may want to clear that up.

Sorry I linked to camera sight, I'll try and clear that up. I had a chat with one of the manager's and he is not a happy chap because they got told the news at the beginning of the week and if they haven't been working there for 3 years then they get no redundancy, so down the Job Centre in two weeks.

If you google them its diverting straight to JJB site and I've checked the reverse of my receipt and its JJB Sports paper. The deals are only available in store. Posted as if you live near to one you could pick up a decent pair of trainers for the gym or the kids to scuff up for very little.

You will find that the law says an employee qualifies for redundancy pay after 2 years continuous service

I can change it to another merchant but just need to know where to point it! Even if it's offline deal we usually point it to the relevant site. I'm surprised they don't even have a company page with branch finder or something?!

JJB closed the two stores at Perry Barr and Pallasades Birmingham and did a re-launch calling the shop Olympus, they reduced all the stock to half price. Now they are closing the shops for good and selling all the stock off at 50% off again. So the trainers was originally £34.00, they reduced them to £17.00, now they have reduced them again by 50% so you pay £8.50 at the till. If anyone has got one of these stores by them its definately worth popping in and seeing what bargains they have left. I was very happy with my purchases yesterday, hence posting on here.
