Good deal HOT
Hopefully it isn't one of the inverters with a fan in, that are noisy as hell.

Hi

Could you use one of these with a 2-way adapter (so connect 2 appliances from it)?

I think it would depend on the total power usage of the devices. This is running on a CAR power - not off the mains.

You could run a small TV off it or a laptop, but if the total wattage exceeded the limit, I imagine the device would trip a fuse of some sort.

Sort of thing I had in mind would be maybe charging up a camcorder & maybe kids playing in their Nintendo DS - no TVs or anything as large as that

Yes you can, as long as you dont exceed the wattage of the inverter.

300w isn't that much, a large (or old) TV might take more than that. There are better options for charging a mobile phone. To be honest, I couldn't see a decent reason for getting this....

However, as a 'just in case' purchase, it seems like a good deal. So don't let my negativity put anyone off!

Can someone explain how you get 300W out of a cigarette lighter socket?

Do not try to power anything that consumes more than 100W at the most, or you will blow the car fuse or worse. The only way to get any more than that would be to connect the input directly to the terminals of the battery.
