The reason that thread got voted cold was because when the OP posted it the price was £11.99 (if I remember correctly). It was later updated to match the current price but by that time most people had voted cold based on the fact they didn't like Long Way Round, Long Way Down, Charley Boorman himself, his new series By Any Means or some other stupid reason.

If the name was "Ewan Mcgregors mate Charlie does the Race to Dakar" then fair enough but as its not I don't see your point.

Haven't seen it but I believe its not the best as the race itself isn't that exciting, still a good price if you do want to see it.

Having read the book, I can assure you that it is an interesting account of events and not 'hanging on to Ewan's coatails (sic)', as you so ineloquently put it. If the DVD is as good as the book, then it'll be well worth the money for people who like finding about motorcycle events and the experience of travelling through other countries, (albeit in a rather unsafe manner).

Good deal OP - will be buying, so heated and repped. Cheers !
