C300 unlock code or clip?

POSTED BY: MunkiMadz 1 year, 1 month ago

Does anybody have either an unlock code for the Samsung C300, or that clip thing you can get - if it's the latter, would I be able to borrow it?
The missus' phone broke (slider ribbon) and she's only got a month left on her contract, so I got her this thinking it would be easy to unlock...but err it's not.
If somebody could help, would be much appreciated.

Hi. You can get the new unlocking Turbo sims on fleabay for £7 delivered. Probably cheaper getting one of these as apparently they say it can be used in any phone. It would be better than paying out the same amount in postage to send a clip back for forth? Cheers.

Never heard of them before, just looked though, you need to hole punch or cut a hole in the exsisting sim?

Apparently so, theres a small microchip on the turbo sim so from what I've seen you need to make a small gap at the top of the sim you use, its only plastic at the top anyways. And I would only do it if I was certain I wasnt going to damage the sim.

Just a solution option for you though. I've rather have the turbo sim so I can use over and over again than pay £10 to a mobile shop every time I need mobby unlocked.

I was thinking of getting one and testing it on a free pay as you go sim first to see how it went.

Other than that its either a custom clip, take it to the mobby shop, or get a serial cable and software and DIY it. These are the only options I know about. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I asked when I bought it, the guy told me to go to an unlocking shop. I e-mailed Virgin earlier as I have tv/broadband/home phone with them, they might do it, but judging by past posts on subject they charge £15.
Thekanester (from here) is sending me the clip thing though to unlock it, which I am very greatful for, should stop the missus whinging lol.

Just to let you know I bought a turbo sim and it was very very easy! I simply cut away on an old sim card to test it out and you simply cut away (a Staney knife is ideal) the bit that is NOWHERE near the chip of the sim, therefore it is absolutely fine. in fact i gave my turbo sim to someone else and have used my (now cut away) sim card in many other phones, It is absolutely fine - just use an old sim card to test out cutting, just to get your confidence.

Hope this reassures you!!
