ASDA Beef Mince 500g £1 down from £2.20

Just been to ASDA, they have 500g Beef mince for £1, that's £2 a kilo (duh).

This is actually cheaper than smartprice!!

It's a rollback which I assume means it's for good...?

Anyway, it's normally 4.40 a kilo so for someone like me who likes it lots, this is a chuffing deal!!

All they've done is rolled it back a little bit, for the money that they have taken off of this it will be added onto other items in store to everyday essentials like bread, milk, butter etc.

Asda will see this as a good deal to reduce there meats, doesnt mean the quality is any less than it usually is, if someone goes in for mince/chicken or whatever is on special that day they are more than likely going to pick up more items or see more special deals so in a way Asda will probably make more on this than they would if it was at its original price.

Asda mince is awful, i'm not an organic luvvy with loads of dosh btw, it's just i've tried it before, and most of it was fat with added gristle, i binned it!

great offer for us that cant afford organic and would rather make r kids something like stew with lots of veg or bolognese than give them chicken nuggets and chips with tinned beans, so i am sorry but this is a good offer and why do people have to comment if they dont like the offer.

Understand what you're saying i'm the same, i buy mince for lasagne/spag bol. etc and believe me i make it go far! In my opinion though, buying this mince is a false economy 'cos it isn't very nice at all, i'm posting this for people who may be thinking about buying it - DON'T. Pay a few pence more and get some decent stuff!
