Your mobile needs to be WAP enabled:

If you receive and read the message in the test ticket:
Step 3: Click “Next step” next to the Mobile number on the “Manage My Mobile” page in “My Account”.
Step 4: On the next page click on “Yes I have received my ticket”.
Step 5: Your mobile phone is now registered and you can book tickets on the E-Fulfilment web site.
If you cannot receive the ticket or are unable to read the message:
Step 3: Click “Next step” next to the Mobile number on the “Manage My Mobile” page in “My Account”.
Step 4: On the next page click on “No I did not receive my ticket”.
Step 5: You will be taken back to the “Manage My Mobiles” page where you can either try registering the number again or delete it from your records.

Does anyone know if this train stops at Birmingham?

If so, can I buy a ticket from London Euston to Manchaster and alight at Birmingham?
Also can this be done on the return leg too? i.e. Birmingham to London?

Thx

No it doesn't. It goes via a combination of stockport crewe stoke-on-trent and watford....maybe a couple others

16. Starting, breaking or ending a journey at intermediate stations

You may start, or break and resume, a journey (in either direction in the case of a
return ticket) at any intermediate station, as long as the ticket you hold is valid for
the trains you want to use. You may also end your journey (in either direction in
the case of a return ticket) before the destination shown on the ticket. However,
these rights may not apply to some types of tickets for which a break of journey is
prohibited, in which case the relevant Train Companies will make this clear in their
notices and other publications.
If you start, break and resume, or end your journey
at an intermediate station when you are not entitled to do so, you will be liable to pay an excess fare.
This
excess fare will be the difference between the price paid for the ticket you hold
and the price of the lowest priced ticket(s) available for immediate travel that
would have entitled you to start, break and resume, or end your journey at that
station on the service(s) you have used.

The best of luck to anyone trying to get the deal - I've been charged 4 times for my trip and no tickets have been issued. I've spent 2 hours on the 'phone being passed around to be told that because their computer has made a made a mistake any attempts to access my account now will be treated as fraudulent and no tickets will be issued - this happens apparently when several failed trys have be made.

So I can no longer get the deal online, the tickets I want can be bought using the telpehone but at over 10 times the price and I'll have to wait 10 days to get back all the money I've paid so far but that will not include the cost incurred for the 2 hours I've spent being passed around the world on an 0845 number.

Hopefully you'll all have better luck!

Not bad if you get it though.
