Spam?????

I got this message: -

This was after I listed something, which upset someone who was a bit A R as it had been listed three days prior (under a different name - hence why I didn't find it).
Anyway, it appears to have been removed by someone as "SPAM".
Now, I'm new to this, and after my first attempt to list what I thought was a fantastic deal, to have it "spammed" (whatever that is - spam is somthing quite different last time I looked) has put me off somewhat. I don't want some geeky, AR, friendless, killjoy "spamming" my submissions without me knowing what is going on, and why etc. So, I ask, why should I bother to list any good delas, or look for any good deals, and waste my time, to have it removed 5 minutes later? So, look for good deals I shall on the website, list the ones I find, I think not.

As someone replied it was a duplicate post so these are spammed and this way they get removed from the board. Stops the board getting clogged up with duplicate posts.

If so, it was me who spammed it for one as it had been posted about 5 times this week.
I was in the middle of posting the reason why I spammed it when my PC crashed and I had to re-boot.
It was nothing personal, just that it had been posted several times already.

Yup. Thats the one.
Couldn't find it.
I typed in "Days out" and got hundreds of varying "posts" etc, but without spending the rest of the evening tredging through them all, I listed it. Didn't realise it would cause any harm/offence.
But, I am sorry, truly I am. So, instead of looking for great deals to share with the UK, I shall now settle down with a glass of wine and watch Phoenix Nights on E4. )

Sorry, it was removed by me. I'd usually PM people to let them know why their post was removed, but didn't in this case as you'd already acknowledged it in your post. We usually remove deals which have already been posted previously in order to keep the forum tidy and help with discussion on a deal.

Your post certainly didn't cause me any offence, I just flagged it as it had been posted before. I know that, because I subscribed to the offer from the first posting.
I was going to add comments and give links to the postings but my PC died on me. ( I'm still trying to get it to how it was a week ago before I got this nasty virus)
Anyway, as you have experienced, the search utility on here is not the best in the world and it can sometimes be hard to find what you are searching for.
Do carry on posting as it does help us all, and, as I said before, it was nothing personal.

I swear by Trend Micro Housecall. Run this regularly and you aint gonna get a virus (assuming you have a good firewall). Anyway, link is http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/
Can take a good few hours, but if there is anything nasty on your computer it will find and remove it
