I need help with internet please....JAVA

my dad had same probs on IE for all his word puzzle games, switched him to firefox last time was round there and all his java games worked fine instantley

try installing a new browser called firefox

it is just like internet explorer but usually crashes a LOT less.
its not a massive file and installs quite quickly.

I use firefox at the moment it still doesnt work, i also tried safari and Opera still not working :(

1) you are behind a firewall....i'm clueless
2) you are not connected to the internet....i'm sure i am cos im online

3) the games server is down..... i dont know what that is
4) you have a stale page in your cache....even more clueless

1) a firewall is usually something windows installs or an antivirus program, it basically stops your computer sending out info
2) well you know this one
3) this means it is there fault and it isnt working and there end.
4)cache is what your browser stores so the next time you visit the same site it loads the page a lot faster. to clear this you can get a program like ccleaner or do it your self manually. its somewhere like tools, general, and temperary internet files, just click on clear.

Have you got NoScript installed on FireFox - blue S in bottom right corner usually ? This blocks Java from running unless you allow it.

There are other applications that also block it. Can you go to tools > add ons & see which ones you have installed

Also in Firefox Tools > options > Content you need to allow Java, see link for pic

i just checked my options setting and the enable java button was ticked already

If it's not running on IE & Firefox you have either a flashkiller on a piece of software or your java software isn't up to date possibly. Things like SpywareBlaster have an option to block Flashcontent etc. I'm sure there was a thread like this before, I'll see if I can find it

all my games were working alright till i moved, now i get to log in then it logs me out saying all those stuff then i log back in then it logs me out again

When you moved to your new address did you change broadband provider or is it the same one at new address ? Trying to think what might have changed if you could run them before.

yea my broadband provider changed, i dont even know who they are, they are called U-WANT or something like that. that is the provider for the accomodation i live in, its like a university thing

thanks i just read the stuff, thing is i dont play playstation or xbox, just yahoo games and other website games that should count as a browser games. i'm thinking of the getting the upgrade now but i dunno if it would make any difference i dont wanna waste my money

yes i get their number from the reception yesterday and called them all through yesterday and today since 1pm and no one picked up
