Hi,
Last year I took out two vodafone £40/month 12 month contracts from Mobiles2Yourdoor (on 12 month free deals.) I got all the cashback from Mobiles2Yourdoor but another snag has come up.
My contracts expired on the 9th of October this year and so I thought I would give Vodafone a call to see what happens to my numbers - whether they can convert them to pay as you go or something of the sort because I was not continuing with these contracts.
However, Vodafone told me that the contracts do not expire after 12 month automatically and that I have to give them 30 days written notice so as to cancel the contract. I didnt know this and thought once the 12 months are over, the contracts cancels itself.
So all in all, he told me that I will infact end up paying for 1 more month and a few days (pro rata) and that there was no way for me to avoid this since I hadnt given them a notice.
So now I have two options (give them a notice and and pay about 90 quid) or cancel my direct debit (and ruin my credit history).
Does anyone have any other ideas as to how I could get out of this? Any help appreciated.
PS - Does Anyone have an email address or Postal address where I can write to Vodafone If i need to. Or will the online contact us form suffice?
Thanks
Chada
