Asda mobile sim cards back instock in-store (spotted in Farnborough branch)

£5.00

14°

FOUND BY: moneysaverraver 1 year, 1 month ago

been waiting for some time for these to come back instock in my branch (didn't want to order online for 50p, as it's free when you purchase a £5 top up instore) it's a handy network, if your not a mad phone user like me, (only spending around £5-10 a month, which should go a long way on 4p texts and 8p a min calls), and don't like a lengthy contract.

i switched over from vodafone (if you plan to do the same switch the number you need is 0808 945 945 for your pac code, think it's free from landlines)

call 2732, when you get your code (this will cos 25p to call, but there's 25p loaded on the sim, the customer service is really polite and freindly and english (not being racist here)

the number should take 2 days or so to go through :)

Don't know why this gets cold votes. Asda is the cheapest mobile phonw service provider at the moment (it's piggy-backed on Vodaphone, so no problems with UK and International cover). I just switched to Asda myself. Hot.

If you are spending about £10 a month why not get a contract phone.I get mine through Virgin,it costs £10 a month and i get 300 texts and 300 mins every month(if you have another Virgin service)if not it's £15,maybe worth checking out

Contracts often are the better option, but there are many reasons why not.

Contract or not, Virgin coverage is NOT the best (I had the old orange Virgin equivalent on contract which they did away with long ago, rather than Virgin itself which was a poor option in some areas.) Asda use Vodaphone which although not perfect, I find it far better.

Even if you spend about 10 quid a month, many people (like me) spend wildly varying amounts, so you end up paying 10 a month for very few calls some months

I wouldn't piddle on virgin if they were on fire tbh.

I've been a payg of their's for years and was considering the cheapie 'contracts' they offer but as they rip u off for data usage (£2 per MB) and none of their contracts include data I've just left them and joined Asda Mobile last week.........apart from the 8p/4p Asda also do data at 20p per MB.........which is ideal when surfing a few web pages at lunchtime on the phone for only a few pennies.
