Tesco 5p off a litre of fuel vouchers when you spend £50 promotion STARTING AGAIN on Monday

now first off... I KNOW Tesco are still more expensive than Morrisons and BP at the moment for fuel... (edit - MOST TESCO's NOW DOWN IN PRICE eg UNLEADED 99.9)

but they'll be the same price by Monday when this promo starts (promo will be nationwide). Last time Morrison's did the price cut thing the folk at Head Office took 3-4 days to issue the "reduce prices" notice ( when realising the difference in profit I think!!).

However if they do not cut them by now which I doubt will be the case, with the 5p a litre voucher it'll still bring the price of fuel a bit under Morrisons and BP prices.

I know this is occuring because for my sins I work in a Tesco petrol station and last night had to read and sign a memo from Head Office about it and how to process the coupons. Starts Monday and they stop giving out the vouchers beginning of Dec sometime I can't remember date offhand, so it'll be running for a good while.

And folk ARE going elsewhere at the moment - what a difference to our usual queues out the forecourt!! Last night was soooo quiet it was the quietest I've seen it in years. Not that us staff mind of course!! We prefer it nice and quiet... but I'm sure Tesco doesn't! And my poor manager and us had folk earbashing us all last night and today about the price difference. I wish folk would understand we have no power to just drop prices without the Head Office say so :)

Sorry I know I ramble but know folk would ask things I've covered in here...

But you still have to spend £50 on groceries (exclusions apply too).

If I put 50 litres of fuel into my car with this voucher, I'm only saving £2.50. I guarantee you'll save more than that just by shopping elsewhere as Tesco's is downright expensive. ASDA's been voted the best value Supermarket for the last 11 or so years for a good reason!

I'm sticking with Asda and Morrisons - no strings attached
Xb0xGuru's right, away from their advertised "credit crunch beaters" Tesco is expensive and prices vary wildly depending on where you shop.

Bearing in mind that Morrissona are offering 5p per liter vouchers when you spend just £40, this may not bring customers back to Tesco forecourts.

Any store which relies on custom by offering coupons and discounts should be avoided at all costs. ASDA offers all customers - members or not - the same discounts. The Tesco ClubCard Scheme is a marketing ploy which many fall for unfortunately!

morrisons miles card = 1.5p per litre so technically morrisons is 98.4p a litre, beats ****** tesco clubclard

Unfortunately however, most of the (non extra special range) non-branded and own-label food at Asda is extremely poor quality. Never tried Morrisons. I've found that Tesco food is reasonably good quality.

Therefore HOT from me
