There's been a bit of a <you've made a mistake I'm voting cold > attitude lately unfortunately, rather than based on merits of deal. Hope that the MODs investigate who's voted cold in those circumstances. I had a look & I can't see this cheaper online.

Any idea what size this is?

I had one like this as a kid and it was fantastic, I think the wings on my old one were about 30cm high. How tall are the figures generally, they used to be about 10cm high, that would give me a clue

As far as I remember it's exactly the same - the wings are about 30cm if not a little larger. The pilot figure seems to be the same as the normal ones and the wings explode off like the original. The only difference I can see is that IIRC the original had blaster noises and this one doesn't. Still a steal though.

The action figures are still the same size they used to be, they've just upped the detail.

That tie fighter is much more true to its movie proportions than the old ones were.

Just hope that the mechanism for holding the wings on is better than they were in the '70s, i had to hold the wings onto my vader tie from the first day onwards.

what is the quality of the new star wars figures like - they look like the pirates of the carribean figures which broke as soon as you touched it. Tempted to get for my son for xmas but dont want to give it to him if it breaks xmas day. Good find

was only taking the mick no harm intended m8,
if i vote cold or hot is my personal view, just because you think its good doesnt mean every1 has to vote hot. oh and i havnt voted hot or cold yet

I've become very jaded about the whole Star Wars thing over the last few years, but having a TIE Fighter at this size and in the correct proportions is one of the few things that can resurrect the SW geek in me. I've been tempted, off and on, to get one of these even at £40, so this is great at half price. I just got my sister to order one for my son for Christmas
