Ok, go easy on me as this is the first link I have tried!!

You may be able to qualify for a grant of up to £2,700. I thought it might be helpful (especially with winter coming up) to have a look at. My girlfriend has applied as we are in a rented property (yes that does count too) and have a child.

They apparently do come around and assess your property, but it's a good venture for if you do qualify :-)

I hope I haven't peed anyone off or anything. Any feedback (negative and positive) would be greatly appreciated.

Got my house (which I own) insulated free of charge, get yearly free boiler checks and lots of those 'radiation' giving light bulbs. Worth a try.

With Christmas looming too phone your local fire station and get some free smoke alarms fitted. Did mine a couple of weeks ago. They warned about the hazards of Xmas lights.

Shouldn't that be the energy companies job!!!

Guarenteed all the houses who are living the highlife claiming all the benefits uner the sun will be lit up like blackpool GRRRRR rant over lol

haha! yeah i hear ya foxy.

bottom line is we have more of a purpose in life than bored, life-benefit claiming morons, so don't you worry. we workers do have more to cheer about :-)

seriously, i thought about this properly. when i came out of uni from my 3 year degree and was unemployed for 2 months, i used to argue more with my employed partner and whatnot all the time. now we are in jobs and have been since (or myself as a trainne teacher which in effect IS a job) we get on so much better and have bonded more. :-) no need to rant, we have the better flip side of the coin foxy!

I rent my house and saw this offer so took it to my tenant. It was fab all i had to do was sign to say i agreed with the work being done. What landlord wouldn't want their property updated for free!
My tenants are great tenants i want them to be happy in my house so this was just a big bonus for me.
