Actually NUS card holders only get 5% off on books, music and DVDs so this is excluded.

guys, I've got two of this horrid things.. Dont buy them, neargear drivers are few and farbetween. They are highly prone to dropping, forget about 64bit support...

One to miss

i have one of these at home - be careful if you've got an amd processor and not an intel one, because there appears to be a problem with randomly freezing your computer up. if you do a google search for it, it's pretty common, and i certainly had an issue with it.

I also agree, i had two of these, both lasted less than a year and if youre running XP with multiple signons, it can corrupt your signon process so that you have to download a registry fix from t'web. XP_FixLogon, wouldnt touch them with a bargepole ....voted Cold.

having said that ive now got two railink (RL73?) ones which constantly drop out.Rubbish....can anyone reccommend a good one?

Its correct that all adaptors get hot but the Netgear one in particular gets so hot that the processor cannot handle the heat so it cuts out. Sometimes it wont come on even after it's fully cooled down. I took the case off mine to let more air in and it still got too hot. My Belkin one has never dropped. Seriously this is a bad buy.

I also have personal experience of this adaptor and it is pretty bad.
1) It has terrible range (considering that it's supposed to be MIMO)
2) it gets very hot which causes PC instability (heat travels through the metal USB connector onto the motherboard)
3) Even when not overheating it constantly drops connection.

Mine came in a bundle with a Netgear MIMO router, which works flawlessly. Don't buy this product!

I also suffered the AMD processor issue reported by thingonaspring (my favourite C= 64 game!)
