Noghar:
I am close to qualifying for an upgrade with Orange, so called them to see if I could get them to upgrade me a little early. Haggling got me to the Retentions department who would not upgrade me early but said, if I called back when I do qualify in ten days' time, I could get a free handset, and pay £35 a month for eighteen months with loads of calls and text plus UNLIMITED internet minutes. I was tempted... but £35 x 18 is a fork of a lot of money (£630), and to be honest I'm not out and about that much, and wouldn't use that many intermet minutes.
So I have instead bought a handset from a certain well-known internet auction site for £315. Note this auction site carries a lot of these handsets now, being sold off by people as unwanted upgrades. Caveat emptor - we know how dodgy them auction sites can be...
that was a terrible deal form orange because i could walk into a shop and get the same deal at the same price you should have pushed harder to get the calls/texts and internet for cheaper
And a warning about buying from a well known acution site i paid almost 200 pounds for a phone from there and 6months later the owner blocked it (insurance scam) and there was nothing i could do
