EXPIRED - Honda CBF125 motorcycle - 2009 model @ Doble Motorcycles £1770 on the road

Ok, I'm in the market for a new 125 motorcycle. I've been doing the rounds all day finding out prices and offers that are about. Not that many greats deal atm to be honest.

At a Honda show room today in chesterfield they seemed pretty excited about the new 2009 CBF125 model. They said it'd be around £2600 to me.

Anyway, from another forum I came across this deal - No launch date on there but £1770 on the road for the new 2009 Honda CBF125. Seems pretty damn cheap and the only place I've found so far that are taking deposits for it. So unsure if to be a bit skeptical?

I've not heard of these before and with a 020 number - its at least 200 miles from me. I've not called to ask if they deliver motorcycles but suppose if some1 was in the area they could check out the store to ;-)

Doble is a reputable bike shop. Bought from them a few times so at this price it looks like great value!

I would have to pass my bike test to ride this right....

Is it only 50cc you can ride after just doing CBT?

Looks like a nice bike anyway.

over 17 with cbt you can ride 125. if 16 with cbt onlt moped 50cc but on 17th birthday can ride 125

Sham only 3 colours - black, red and silver. I was thinking it would be great in blue.

As far as I thought - CBF125 is a new model (I know the CBF already comes in larger displacements). I know CG125 has existed a long time - it £2k on that site which it is everywhere else.

demontec - do you know if Doble will deliver nationwide?

Available from December apparently. The Doble site says this is the list price and I suspect this may be an error. Firm recommended pricing has yet to be published by Honda but estimates range from £2000 - £2700. Doble are a Honda merchant so I doubt that they will publish prices below list prior to launch.

Genuine bargain if priced as advertised. Early reviews suggest it is a worthwhile development of the obselete CG.

I wanted a 125 scooter for my exxxxxx
Dobles in coulsdon south croydon were the cheapest.But dont offer nationwide delivery .So
I took a copy of there ad to my local dealer they ended up £30.00 more but closer to home.

This is a good price, so i've got to give it hot.

But for anyone buying this to take their test and then get a bigger bike, you will only want to keep it for a short while, then you will have huge depreciation of about a £1000 when you sell it.

^^The test is changing in March to. I'm wanting a 125 for a year plus I think so I'm not after something 'just until I pass my test'. But from the 2nd hand 125s that are available they ain't really dropping in price that much (well not like a new car would).

The price on these 125s dont drop that much as they are in demand. What do you mean by "The test is changing in March"?
