it is all stores but they are only selling off their loose single units (will not open new cases) in most cases staff will get the fireworks. they go 90% off tommorow aswell!

Great, more fireworks going off for the next few weeks ! What happened to them all being sent back after the 5th like it used to be?
I think retailers are now allowed to sell fireworks from mid Oct to New Years Eve???
I suppose Sainsbury's could not be bothered with the security and storage as they need as much room in the back for Christmas stock and coke zero.
I know years ago, they could not sell from the 6th onwards.
There was a piece on the news last week about some guide dogs having to be retied because they couldn't cope with all the firework going off for so long, also lots of people who have to have them are forced to stay in until all the idiots have finished playing with them. . .
This year has been really subdued compared to the last 10. Very few fireworks going off before Nov 5th around here. I guess the chavs don't have the money they used to...
You know what tawke I just realized your right, I have hardly heard any this year compared to the artillery bombardment like noise that normally goes on all week over the 5th/11
Maybe as you say there isn't the money to spare! I have just been busy and didn't get around to fireworks this year, but there is always new year!

i think this is the case in most places... hardly heard any this year- and normally im cursing the ppl doin em at the best of times (unless the fireworks are the really beautiful pricey ones that make you go ooh, wooow, that's a nice one etc etc) especially when they let the fireworks off at such unreasonable hours..like 1am..idiots..
