Hi quite fancy this laptop. I'm not a gamer, just looking for an upgrade to my aging Tosh. Any comments/suggestions. Is it a good deal?

I have 4 laptops this laptop , the r70 ,,a dell and a toshiba .this is a good laptop but for me the major drawback is you only get a 1 yr warranty and for a 2 yr extension will cost just over £200.
In my experience the warranties are well worth it and toshiba charge about £65 for a 2 yr extension not sure how much dell charge (can't remember how much i payed so must of been ok)but for this reason alone i would get a toshiba or dell.
If you are not going to get an extension to your warranty then all i can say is i have had this laptop about 5 months and it has performed perfect no little qwerks so can recommend it
some will recommed you don't get a warranty BECAREFUL my previous laptop lasted 15 months then i had to buy another so warranties are worth it.
hope i have helped you and not confused you

A bit more detail in the title wouldn't go a miss?

I'd second hutchir9's advice if you buy the Samsung.

My experience of Samsung products (not laptops I'd add) is that they're of dubious quality. I've had Samsung phones, TVs, a camcorder and a fridge. They all looked good and were reasonably priced and everyone of them failed at about the 15 month point.

I've now learned my lesson and will never be tempted by Samsung again!

I've currently got Dell, Toshiba and HP laptops. The best built is undoubtedly the Toshiba.

Would that mean this

would be a better choice than the Samsung?
