A new service that will let you make local and international phone calls for free from your landline has been launched. PokeTalk lets you make calls of up to 10 minutes long to a variety of destinations across the globe. No need for a headset, microphone or speakers. After the 10 mins are up, you can redial and continue with you call.
It may save some people money. Shame about the name of the service really - it mislead me at first :).

but they charge for incoming calls and the call has to come in to you from poke to connect so I guess your line supplier will bill you for a call coming in!

You are mistaken - If you get charged for incoming calls by your line supplier you will get charged - I'm not aware that this is the case in the U.K. - When I get an incoming call I don't get billed by BT - do you? Dont know about this company,i am using Voipcheap for 3 years ,just toping up 10 euros and have 120 days of free calls to loads of destinations,have free incoming landline number,using with my voip phone,quality is superb.The best company for sure.

Oh yeh,you are not right...I use voipcheap thru VOIP SIP phone,dont need computer even to swich on for make a call.
Your advertised company even dont send you a confirmation e-mail(just tried for fun),this is the same as was Noodle once-lots of people have been charged for dialing access nr 07755 and at the end they just gone bust.
Everybody has a choice....

Hi Crd- thanks for the post. i use all these voip services for biz (i actually wholesale calls) - these poketalk service are interetsing but how r they free... i signed up and they called my phone which is cool.. why would there be incoming charges?..
well they have mexico available so 'i like'...
