You should know they send a i-smartphone simcard and not an i-smartsim which can unlock far more phones.

The i-smartphone cannot unlock my N95 8GB.

Where is the cheapest place to get the i-smartsim? ( To use on 1st gen N95) TY

...Well you see that SIM picture in the I-SMART URL link ...well that's the one I paid for & that's the one I was sent & and thats the one I have in my Omina & thats' the one that allows me to run my Tmobile chip in a de facto unlocked Omnia !!!

Yes I know, no need to be cheeky. Just that I ordered this twice and both times I got the i-smartphone - this is quite recent I think, seems like they switched supplier and these new ones are slightly different.

Is it really that easy?
You just slide it under a sim and it unlocks phones?

Need to cut your simcard.

I have recently used this one:http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13480 to unlock an old Sony K700i, and to be honest I bought that rather than the one listed here as I could not find any difference, and it was slightly cheaper!

As it happens, I didn't need to cut my sim card, there was enough room for the chip on the sim shim to fit, but that will depend on the phone

That's thr bit that worries me... Don't have the steadiest of hands and I suppose that 8 pints of bitter a day doesn't help!

Even if you do need to cut it, you cut a notch out of the plastic at the end of the card away from the chip in the card & away from the electronics - you would need to be incredibly clumsy, or use a lumberjack's axe to damage the internal workings from this far away!

No need to snip the card ( not for the omnia anyway
To get the "sandwiich" in the omnia slot

First slide the I-smart sim in to the slot from the wrong end ( as the little square elevated black microprocessor chip will stop it from going in all the way if you try to pop it in the usual way!. The I-Sim's flexible enough to get in in the slot this way

Next silde in the your Mobile SIM carefully into place from the regular insertion end
The Mobile SIm will go in most of the way and come to rest against the black chip(of the I-SIM)
Next lever the end of the MobileSiM slightly over the the I-sim black chip as you push it ( the Mobile sim) in
Mobile Sim card bends slightlys as it finally comes to rest over the blackchip but at least you dont have to snip out notches . Easy enough to do .
Been showing my mates ... been removing & inserting mine all day
