Virgin Trains are introducing their 'VHF' - Very High Frequency timetable from 14th December. So they have a lot more services to fill!

For example, London to Birmingham will now take 1hr 10 minutes, and fares on their website start from £5.00

Here's a selection. The fantastic thing about these fares is that RAILCARD discounts apply - take a further 1/3rd off!

London Euston - Manchester - from £8.00 (journey time now around 2hrs, 8mins)

This isn't mobitix, this is just the new price for their Advance tickets, so you can buy them at the station too (in advance). Travel is from 14 December (which is a Sunday, and very often the cheapest fares aren't available on Sundays)

Personally, I prefer www.nationalexpresseastcoast.co.uk as the system they use for booking UK Train tickets is much more user friendly, and these fares can be found there.

BARGAIN!!

I just got 2 adults and 2 children return from Coventry to Euston for £18 (with Family Railcard)

Saturday 20th December to Sunday 21 December.

Now my family of four can stay in our half price Hilton Room without having to worry about taking the car

Total cost for a night at the Hilton including travel £75!!

I LOVE UK Hot Deals!!!

At the moment I can pretty much travel any day at any time (lots of holidays to use up) but can never get cheap tickets from Lancaster to London.

Yes it can be used in conjunction with the First Great Western £5 voucher offer - well it worked for me - London to Birmingham New Street return - total £5
