I'd highly recommend it if you've just recently bought a 360, as going online really adds life to the console and Gears of War 2 is probably the most played online game at the moment, so this is a great deal for the combo.

It's been listed before but I think it's been expired because of the dates but providing it's still working, then it's great.

Good deal, this is a top quality wireless bridge,(next best thing to a direct connection) not some cheap old Wi Fi adapter, and Gears 2 is an incredible game.
Voted Hot.

Is there any noticeable lag through this connector compared to a wired connection? At the moment I have to run a lead across my lounge directly to the router to get online on my xbox which isn't very pretty, but obviously provides a good speed. I don't really want to be losing even tenths of a second when playing an online shooter as that can really make the difference.

I have no problems at all with lag and I have 1 360 connected by a cat 6 cable and One on the adapter, (this is not One of those cheap WI-Fi connectors),, as for your cable if you are using just a standard cable and want to hide it properly then you should get a -

CAT 6 SUPER FLAT cable they are so thin you can hide them anywhere. (Ebuyer etc sell them)

If you are worried about the lag you wont be able to stream Hi Def using wireless. You might also want to look at the homeplugs 200mbps that were listed on Amazon.

those are what I use and since the xbox only has a 100mb network card is more than fast enough.

I am getting about 95mbps throughput on the homeplugs. Think they were listed for £50 for the pair yesterday. Ok you don't get GoW2 with it at that price but you wont lose any speed

I would recomend getting a 30m cable and wireing the xbox. It is much cheaper and does not rely on wireless. A long cable can be hidden around the edge of the room. A games console will spend most of its time in one place. If you need to move the console regulary then the wireless conection may be usefull but if not then why pay more?

wired is the only way to be sure of minimal lag.
if you have multiple users or other inteference then wifi can and does lag

I'm surfing the internet through my wireless USB dongle right now, and I've dabbled in a few online PC games in the past, I have never experienced lag. My connection used to be 2 M/Bits but now it's 5.5 M/Bits. But the point I'm trying to make is this...

My PC's USB adapter cost only £9.99 (a sweex one from Play.com) and lag is non-existent on the PC side. Whereas my Xbox 360 is connected up "occasionally" with a 30 metre ethernet from the wireless router - which really is an eyesore in the living room!
And playing Soul Calibur IV whenever, there most definitely is lag. Going wireless won't make it any worse I don't think, just... I don't think there's any viable option for lag-free Xbox 360 gaming at the moment, it has nothing to do with your side. It has more to do with their server side.

Might be different for Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 etc - Halo 3 is usually pretty smooth.
Just my two cents (pence)

Lol, anyways my point - Is £46 for a USB adapter worth it? £60 is a rip off and I guess hovering around £45 is easier to take...
