STARTS: 17/11/2008   EXPIRES: 18/01/2009

** Out of stock for home delivery now, but you can still collect at store, or see post #44 for the next cheapest online deal (Dixons@£275)**

Nikon Cashback is back on the D60.

As stephenashforth and publicnme pointed out you can add another item and then use the XMAS20 code to get £20 off. For example you can get the Sandisk 4GB Ultra II SDHC card (which is £20) free!

Alternatively you can buy the D60 with a second lens and receive £50 cashback.

Cashback details here:
http://www.nikon.co.uk/sites/cashback/summer2008_buy.html

Don't forget possible 6% quidco (excluding VAT) - works out at a healthy £14.85 but read on in the thread below as it's not guaranteed...

PS: The Jessops discount codes don't apply to DSLRs unfortunately (but do apply if you add an accessory).

Superb buy. This is a good step up from the D40. Ifyo have £400 to spend on a dslr then I wuld buy this, sell the lens on ebay and buy the Sigma 18-200mm OS (optical stabilizer) on ebay for just over £200.

That combination will be better than anything else you can get near the price.

In fact Jessops sold me the Sigma 18-200mm OS for £200 when I bought the D40 for a friend. So you may be able to get the same deal.

The standard zoom lens this comes with is fine. You would be better off keeping this until you can afford the Nikon 18-200. The Sigma does not come near this for quality and struggles to focus at longer focal lengths in anything but bright light. The Nikon 55-200VR (about £130) is a cheaper alternative to complement the standard zoom.

Just to say that the Jessops codes e.g. XMAS20 do work with DSLR cameras if you add an accessory to your basket. This is an ideal way to get a cheap SD card for example.

Any Jessops vouchers?

Also - if I buy online but collect in-store - do I still get Quidco?

Is it worth paying an extra £30 for the VR 18-55?

XMAS20 will work with this provided you buy an accessory with it e.g. memory card

Yes, quidco should be fine. Mine is validated and should be paid in January, I hope.

If you add a memory card that is under £20, it's effectively free. Worth adding to the OP. For example:

Sandisk 4GB Ultra II SDHC Memory Card
£0.00 £0.00
1Saving

Nikon D60 + AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G Lens
£299.99 £299.99

You have added the following Jessops.com voucher:
XMAS20 - Save £20 when you spend between £300 - £599.99

Savings & Packages 1Save £20 £18.99
Total Savings £18.99
Total £299.99
