Bought one of these a few weeks ago, and after using it can declare it the Bees Knees.
It is fitted to my eee701 and offers about twice the capacity. When fitted, it raises the back of the computer by just over an inch and a half. This gives the bonus of an angled keyboard that makes for more comfortable use.

Just tested, the lid opens to the same same position as the original. Of course the raised back makes a difference to the viewing angle, but this offers me no problems.
