75°

FOUND BY: Synergie 11 months, 3 weeks ago

Today I saw First Response pregnancy tests in Superdrug are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE so only £10.79 for 4 tests.
(Single test packs are also on BOGOF so £7.49 for 2 tests)
These are super sensitive pregnancy tests - you can test 5 days before your period is due. I thought this info might be useful to someone because they are normally so expensive.
They are also available online.

LOL.

We used one from the pound shop. And they were two for £1. And it worked. We have the evidence....9 months later.

LOL! Not everyone has the patience to wait 9 months! Most people want to know straight away!
I know you can use the little dip test strips from Poundland, but they are a bit fiddly & if you are going to go for a brand name wand test then you might as well get it for less!

You definitely can't buy these in Poundland! You only get some cheap little test strips that you have to pee into a cup to use! They are far less sensitive too.
First Response is a wand test & its the most sensitive one on the market. It's usually fairly expensive at £10.79 for 2 (or £7.49 for 1) so the whole point of posting was in case someone wanted the brand named test on special offer - not if you wanted a completely different type of test strip from Poundland!

I'm not saying it's a cold deal or anything....but a poundshop pregnancy test is about the most dignified thing a woman has to go through during her pregnancy.

Used a lot of these in the last few months. I have to say at first I was like many people who post on these type of deals, i.e. why pay for a branded test, these are just as good. Then about four months ago my other half was adamant she was pregnant, and four/five of these strips over two/three days said she wasn't. She bought a First Respone kit, and it gave a positive result. She used a home health strip the next morning and it said she wasn't. The scan we had last week shows she definitely was (is).

Don't get me wrong - I'm sure if we'd waited a few days the home health kit would have given a positive result too. My point is that (anecdotally) they clearly aren't as accurate as a First Response for an early positive result. Yes, they're fine if you are prepared to wait for your result - the problem occurs when you're not...
