The new PSP-3000 Model Slim & Lite is the latest version of the Sony handheld console. While succeeding the basic functions and design philosophy of the current PSP including a 4.3 inch wide high resolution LCD screen, overwhelmingly large for a handheld device, new PSP is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer than the original version.

If you're an Amazon Affiliate, you will get this for about £120, which is even better!

This is the PSP 3003 version, which came out last month. Don't confuse it with last year's Slim and Lite PSP 2003 model, which is available cheaper and with various bundle offers.

I also have been looking for the best deal and as it stands, I think this is the best deal so far, there doesn't seem to be much difference between prices of the Psp 2000 and 3000, only concern is the screen problems that people mention, but I think if you don't have a Psp, then the Psp 3000 is the one to go for.

I bought one yesterday from GameStation on the high street bundle with fifa 09 and a choice of one other game for £139.99, I traded my two year old psp in they gave £50 against the new one.

He means the PSP 3000 is yet to be hacked by the modding community. There are rumours that a new Datel battery will do the trick but its not really confirmed.

Original Games = Shop Bought Games (you are fine to use any PSP with any bought game)

With the two previous PSP's there are ways to make them play games from the memory card. This can also be used to run additional "homebrew" software like emulators.

I got a 3000 the day they came out, the sad thing is FIFA is the game where the lines on the screen are most noticeable, most games you cant really tell but it will bug you in fifa and when watching films

When you say that the lines are visible on Fifa and movies, is this when you are really close up to the screen, or is it at a normal distance from the screen?

The Universal Media Disc drive door has had a face (or should that be a 'bottom'?) lift too:



There is also now a Built-in microphone, and an enhanced signal from the Video Out port.
