The 'Best Games Trade-In Prices' Thread .....

I thought I would post some of the current best trade-in prices im getting and where you can actually MAKE money !
Basically getting Gamestation or blockbuster to price match CEX using a printout from the CEX website will nearly always get you the best trade-in price on anything, they will beat CEX's prices plus a pound for each game. Not all Gamestations will do this, you need to have a CEX within 5 miles (I might have made that up) I use the one in Manchester Arndale. Blockbuster games also claim to beat any trade-in price, they have leaflets instore , you can printout the Cex prices then try and explain to the Blockbuster staff that Gamestation will beat those prices by a pound so they should be beating them by £2.00, Ive managed to do this but its not easy, it's like talking to a swamp. Anyway, post your own....

its worthy add on Hmv trade in price on this thread. For example you can buy 2 copies of GTA (preowned) at blockbusters for £18 which will = £36 at HMV(store credit)

You are paying £20.00 and getting £31.00 pounds back for it after youve played it and take it back to trade in........ It's because it's only on offer for this week at £19.99, and then it'll go back up. But they haven't reduced the price on their second-hand games... so, if you went in today, you'd see Fable 2 for £19.99 new or £34.99 second-hand... Apparantly they have reduced the price of the trade-in they'd give you, to about £14, but if you get them to price match CEX, they should still do it, seen as the price they sell it for second hand, is more than thte £31 they'd price match to. I would try and see two different members of staff, though, or go to a different Gamestations, as no doubt they wouldn't entertain the idea if you walked in, bought it, and then said you wanted to trade-in with a price match.... |
