Yes it will. It's worth noting that the performance of XP on this isn't fantastic if you are planning to install it - better of going with the harddrive version.
Try Windows TinyXP Rev09 insead of normal XP. TinyXP installation only uses 390Mb of hard-disk space, whereas the normal full install of XP Professional takes up 1100Mb of space allowing your PC to run fast. Therefore it should be ideal for the Aspire One. I haven't tried this yet though. As far as I can tell you can use your existing XP product key too.
When you boot from this CD you have the following options:
1 - TinyXP With IE/OE/WMP (With Added Driverpacks)
2 - TinyXP With IE/OE/WMP (Without Added Driverpacks)
3 - TinyXP Without IE/OE/WMP (With Added Driverpacks)
4 - TinyXP Without IE/OE/WMP (Without Added Driverpacks)
5 - TinyXP BARE With IE/OE/WMP (With Added Driverpacks)
6 - TinyXP BARE With IE/OE/WMP (Without Added Driverpacks)
7 - TinyXP BARE Without IE/OE/WMP (With Added Driverpacks)
8 - TinyXP BARE Without IE/OE/WMP (Without Added Driverpacks)
9 - TinyXP With Repair Option (Product Key Already Filled In)
Abbreviations from above:
IE ---> Internet Explorer
OE ---> Outlook Express
WMP ---> Windows Media Player
Statistics:
OPTION 1/2 (With IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation............ 85 Mb
WINDOWS Folder............................. 561 Mb
OPTION 3/4 (Without IE/OE/WMP)
RAM Usage On First Installation............ 75 Mb
WINDOWS Folder............................. 517 Mb
OPTION 5/6 (BARE, With IE/OE/WMP)

OPTION 7/8 (BARE, Without IE/OE/WMP)

Not 100% sure about legitimacy though as it has been stripped out by an external party and not Microsoft and thus I do not condone it, just passing on the info...
