tbh, thats not cheap.

the VIP is £19 more for Sky Sports and Sky movies - much more worth the upgrade - also you make no mention of the international and mobile call tariffs you get with VIP - one call I made to Belgium for 59 minutes would have been £23 on the non international tarrif, with VIP - £2.01.

There's more to the VIP package that makes it worthwhile if you have a use for all the services.

Is this a good deal? I'm ot so sure.

I currently have the 6 entertainment channel packages from sky £22 (free sky+). I also have 10mb broadband, phone line and 24/7 calls from virgin for £26. This makes the total cost £48. I know I don't have Setanta but it is still £20 month cheaper.

£67 and NO Sports of Movies - What's the point in having the TV package then, the tripe that is on the other 400 channels should be free

i pay £26 to sky for the base pack, £10 multiroom and then on top I pay virgin for 2mb broadband, and phone with 400 min which is £32 not inc the surcharge for not paying my dd £34 = TOTAL £60!!

for £7 more i get xl bb and unlimited phone. with the bonus of having just ONE service provider. I also have 2 of my own boxes so I have cable in all rooms now!

I wanted to get back onto the virgin band wagon as the on demand, iplayer and recording features are better, but I could not afford to buy the v+ box. so I was stuck with seperate sky and virgin services.

I have just worked it out on sky and it came to £57 and on top you have to pay £99 for the sky plus box. so it comes to near enough the same. the better thing is that with virgin for an extra £10 a month you don't have to pay for the box!

not strictly true and you must be a heavy downloader for it to affect you, it's 5 hours from when you hit the limit, if you download after 21:00 or before 11:00 it won't bother you, or if you really must there is no limit between 15:00 and 16:00

Why don't you just set stuff to download over night, that's all I do and Grabit repairs and extracts it ready to go. It even shuts down my PC when it's done so not wastage.

I'm not saying Traffic Management is right because I don't I just think if you;re going to offer something, make sure it's accurate.

Isn't this the deal online ATM for XL TV/BB/Phone for £49 for the first 6 months, and then £56 for the next 6 months?

Then add on V+ at £0/mnth (£75 total install)
V Box in another room.

You get £50 off your first month's bill online.

Comes to £54 for the first 6 months, then £59 for the next 6 months.

??

virgin on demand is absolutely spectacular. Sky doesn't offer anything like it. I've been enjoying the benefits of fiber optic for about 10 years now but have recently moved and there's no virgin coverage! was gutted, had to get sky, sky's good but has absolutely nothing on virgin media no matter what anyone says, it's not an opinion just a fact, virgin has everything sky has and more... buckets more. Even the v+ box is hd as standard, you don't get ripped off like with a £200 sky+hd box. Deal seems a tad unspectacular tho :/

Even if you added the Talk International / Mobile at £3/month for both, this still works out cheaper.

OP Deal: (Assuming It Is 12 Months)
£67/month x 12 = £804
£30 Install

Total: £834

Virgin Online (With international/mobile)
£57 x 6 = £342
£60 x 6 = £360
£75 Set Up - £50 off first bill = £25

Total: £727, then £80 quidco would bring it down to £647

Am I missing something here Online is nearly £200 cheaper overall?

Totally agree with you, we've just moved to a non cable area too, I really miss my v + box, find the sky+ box second rate

I used this offer

http://www.theskyteam.co.uk/offerfro....at/hotukdeals

I got it off this site ages ago and it's still active. I didn't "actually" join the WI, I just made an enquiry about it. I got half price everything

Works for me, but would much rather have virgin media if they covered this area
