I was looking for a deal on eneloop type batteries yesterday. This seems a good deal.
Couldnt find any objective reviews, so I hope they are as good as the eneloop ones as I've ordered 5 packs!

Did you not see the Maplin Post?..... granted, you have to charge them first but more bang for the buck IMO

I won't be buying any more standard NiMH rechargeables now the Eneloop/Hybrio-type ones are here, especially as they are barely any more expensive than the standard type, even though nominally a little less capacity than the maximum available. The number of times I have wanted say, the camera - the batteries in it are low, and I grab a set of "charged" ones from the drawer only to find them just as low as the ones I want to change, and end up using up non-rechargeables as I can't wait! They are a complete revelation.

Best value I (and others on here) have found are at Vapextech - http://www.vapextech.co.uk/acatalog/...Batteries.html gives 4xAA delivered for £5.40 or 4xAAA for £4.25 slightly better value still if bought in 8's (£10.50 & £7.75 respectively)

i have a 15 minute charger so i don't really need hybrios, but i still managed to get a 4 pack of uniross hybrios off ebay for under 5 quid which i'll be using for the mouse

The new technology ones are STILL more versatile, even if you do quick charge: lower power equipment such as TV remotes and clocks are now more suited to rechargeables as these don't run flat, and you can get good long use without having to mess on changing the flat battery so often. It also means you won't need to hammer your batteries with the ultra fast charger, use a slower one, and they may even last longer as a result :-)

I want some PP9 size now, so I can use them in the smoke alarm and clock radio backup!

i get a pack of 32 AA batteries from the 99p store which i use in equipment such as tv remotes and they seem to last about a year or so, same with my wireless keyboard

so even though i buy rechargeables, i'd still buy non rechargeables for these reasons.

I won't use real cheap pound shop batteries on anything now, least of all when you expect them to be in there for a long time!

I saw these and thought being ready charged might be a bit of a gimmick at an extra cost... The my walkman died so went back to pick some up... Sadly the ready charged ones had run out...

Yep , saw the maplin post. Having had eneloop batteries I wont be going back to standard rechargeables.
