it is 1st gen but refurbished upto 2nd gen standard apart from speakers, also only £156

I voted cold by mistake. I didn't read 16GB and assumed it was an 8GB

Tempted by either a Zune (hard to get hold of though) or an ipod ; leaning towards a Zune now Ipods seem less popular in the US.

ipods are still a million times more popular than Zunes in the US or anywhere else! Is there anything less cool than a Zune?

We have a Zune and ipod. The zune has a far superior user interface and the zune software is superb. Plus, you get fm radio and th ability to wireless share your music with other zune users...if you can find one

The massive downsides are:
1. not officially available in the UK
2. the zune software doesn't work on a MAC

This was the story that killed off any popularity that the Zune may have had:

I don't even think it's true but it's what many people associate with Zunes.
