Watchmen graphic novel - £10 @ Zavvi

After hearing many good things about the Watchmen and after seeing the recent trailer for the Watchmen movie due to be released next year, I decided to seek out a copy.

I managed to pick up a copy for £10 in-store at Zavvi today, which considering the RRP is £17.99, seems to be quite good. I've only just started reading it, but seems pretty good so far...

As an aside, I noticed that Borders are selling what appears to be a companion hardback book called 'Watching the Watchmen' for half price, (if I remember, the RRP was £25.00, so it costs £12.50). I haven't bought this, as I thought it'd be daft to not read the story first!

Hope this helps people in the same position as me - I imagine that as the movie release approaches, the price of anything associated with the story will increase. (As long as the film is good anyway!)

Ah fiddlesticks! (edited due to the swear filter)

Oh well - still glad I found it cheaper than at Waterstones - which were selling it at the full RRP of £17.99.

I still think its a good deal if you have a Zavvi store nearby and want to get your sweaty mitts on a copy without waiting for it to be delivered, (like I did)!

This is because the new hardback edition is out this week. Recoloured as the new Absolute edition for about £12. Great book though.

absolute edition will be more than 12 quid I would think (last printing sold for 35 plus) it has the orginal gn in hardback plus the Alan Moore scripts which are wonderful insight into the best graphic novel author there is out there - personally I prefer the League of extraordinary gentlemen (obv not the sucky film!!) but this is a great read as well - There arent many more Moore properties left to film now I guess
