Only one 1TB drive per order at this price. (£72.39 for 2+)

Delivery is £6.95 so single order total would be £64.39 delivered for one.

(but you can order more stuff on the same order obviously!)

Oddly shipping is £7.99 through google checkout ?!

apologies, a few of these with a NAS store would work out very cheap though!

I got the email flyer it's a good deal but I got too many not in use it's tempting though a would be the cheapest one I have bought all others have been samsung drives which I like because they are faster than I ever expected, not sure how fast these 16mb cache hits are but has to be worth a punt

Here's the question to ask yourself?

Q: Do I need an extra 1TB of data storage right now?

If the answer is yes, fair enough, order

But if the answer is 'I still have about 200gb spare on existing drive', why not wait a few months, when prices will inevitably be cheaper :-)

Wouldn't touch Hitachi

they make horrible hard drives

for this reason im not voting.

pay a bit extra and go for Samsung or Western Digital

Based on.... PluckedOutOfTheAir Inc?

I take it you're thinking of the old Deathstar's that were originally produced by IBM (which had terrible reliability) IBM's HDD division was bought out by Hitachi.

The failure rate of Hitatchi drives was the best of the top five drive manufacturers in 2005. This according to the largest parts supplier in Russia/Europe.

True and the F1 spin point really is only a bit extra like £6 and a much better drive :-)
