EXPIRED - 11CTC claim form - Claim Tax Credits for year 2002-2003

653°

FOUND BY: h04x 10 months, 4 weeks ago

STARTS: 24/12/2008   EXPIRES: 31/01/2009

I work for HMRC under the Tax Credits section and was going to post this up. It has already been posted up under the misc section:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/295370/claim-for-children-s-tax-credit-200/
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/285737/claim-back-money-from-the-inland-re/

but i thought more people would maybe see it under the freebie section as with the pregnancy one found

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/295706/health-in-pregnancy-grant-from-apri/

So apologies for the repost but with the deadline being the 31st Jan i just wanted to make sure everyone was aware.

The TCO (Tax credit office) is now accepting backdated claims for 2003-2003 for anyone that hada child that was 16 in the year of 2002-2003. The basic guidelines for CTC is that the household inc is below 58k per year. So if your income is below that and you had a child under the age of 16 you should be able to claim it back. The basic entitlement is 547.50 per year. so you will get this in a backdated amount.

All you need to do is fill out the form and return it.

Any questions or help needed just ask. As i say sorry for the repost i just want to make sure no one misses it (As i know im bad for only checkign the deals sections)

Thanks for the reminder. Not everyone would have seen the original post. I sent mine off on 3rd nov but still waiting for reply, probably have a backlog of claims.

Thanks, heat & rep added for the useful info. Shame my first wasn't born until 2004 but I know a few people who have applied for this.

Can I ask H04X for a bit of help. I have just dug out coding notices for 01/02. Do you know what the maximum earning limit was then for getting the childrens tax credits?

On the allowances side it gave me 5200 but on the take away side it deducted 2830.

On the SA form for that year I did, it was the first one ever, there is no mention on the allowance section for this children's credit, as result I had to pay back over £800.

I am wondering now if I perhaps in my tax ignorance at the time I missed it off, or if I perhaps earn t too much at the time?

taxable income for 01/02 was £38k

Many thanks

Hi wantthatone,

Im not entirely sure how SA works as i only deal with Tax Credits but for the purposes of tax creadits we need to know about the taxable inc you withdrew from the business, so if your taxable inc for that year was the 38k that is all u need to put down, also any interest in savings etc greater than £300 for the year are supposed to be declared, from about 20k-56k recieve what is known as the basic child element which everyone is entitled to. i only work weekends with being at uni so i can check on sat what the highest limit was for that year. but if you were around the 38k then you will deffinetly be within the income bandings so i would advise you fill it out and send it back.

I cant stress enough however ensure its sent recorded delivery so it cant be 'lost' etc.
