Reviews suggest this isn't a very stable piece of kit. A lot of people say it frequently loses connection to the network etc.

Because it's no more than a webcam!
WiFi can be very easy jammed and that's why this is an stupid idea.
Any CCTV should be hard-wired!

Cheers

It is not meant as only CCTV.

You can also use it as a wired network camera if you wish....

Was definitely a hot deal at £40...

Bought one of these a while ago to use as a baby monitor cam. Sent it back after a week of frustration. Included software is, as usual, garbage. Unfortunately when used with a web browser it was still garbage. The inbuilt webserver crashed every web broswer I tried it with: IE, Firefox 2 and 3 and Opera, on three different machines It worked only once, and all other times refused to load propely and usually crashing the browser, whether over a wired or wireless connection, made no difference.

Might seem a good price, but you should add on postage costs required when you send it back because it's ****. Cold.
