I spent several hours trying to get one of these to work properly and in the end I used a long usb cable.

It wouldn't start properly on boot up and just wouldn't connect, once it had failed to work I could manually connect which it would do straight away. After just a few minutes It would then start to drop out and in general play around.

In my opinion avoid this very flakey product.

Though useful, this is not the same thing as a wireless print server. It will only allow one PC/laptop to print to the printer and does not make the printer into a truly wireless device that anyone can print to on the same network. Cheap but not what it seems at first glance and will only work with the supplied dongle, the dongle has to be put into the PC that wants to print

How does this work?
Does it allow the printer to be available over a wireless network ie. to all the users of that network?
Does it connect via ethernet to a router? Or is it simply a one computer connection - just a wireless usb lead in a way?
Does it allow wireless scanning on hp multifunction devices?

I would like something like this so that I can network my HP printer and my gf can print without having to switch my pc on first (it's usb wired to the printer). Thanks for all the help.

edit - I think wilson just answered my questions lol! thanks.
