Free online books & back issue mags from Google

Google Books (Beta) has lots of digitised books & mags online for free viewing.

Lots of classic books like: War of the worlds, Wizard of Oz & Peter Pan etc

and also magazine back issues like: Mens (& Womens) Health, Popular Science, Running Times, Maximum PC & the ever popular Log Home Living?!!!!

Some books are only partial previews however but Google is working towards putting full out of print editions online.

Just think how many more log homes can be built now less wood is being turned into these magazines!

Some books & mags here are only partially online but Google is working towards putting full out of print editions online.

I've never managed to get beyond the first 5 pages of a Google book without it preventing further access for copyright reasons. Has something changed?

Still seems that large sections of alot of the books are blocked out for copyright reasons.

How are book previews limited?


Many of the books you can preview on Google Book Search are still in copyright, and are displayed with the permission of publishers and authors. You can browse these "limited preview" titles just as you would in a bookstore, but you won't be able to see more pages than the copyright holder has made available.
When you've accessed the maximum number of pages allowed for a book, any remaining pages will be omitted from your preview. You can order full copies of any book using the "Buy this book" links to the right of the preview page.
